Established by Kanako Wynkoop in 1996, Dumpster Values is more of a community space than a thrift store. Supporting three non profit organizations, each advocating for the homeless and the lower income sector, the shop features vintage and secondhand clothes, vinyl, records, accessories and more. Browse through the collections here and you will definitely find something that is trendy and pocket friendly. Don't forget to bring cash along as credit cards are not accepted here.
We are a re-sale store that carries a variety of items including books, clothing, shoes, accessories, housewares, and art & craft items. Our prices are reasonable and all proceeds benefit the Activities Department at the Olympia and Lacey Senior Centers.
Olympia Skoolie Thrift is a community-centered thrift store offering a carefully curated selection of new and gently used clothing, household goods, furniture, and unique finds. Our purpose is to keep quality items out of landfills, reduce environmental pollution, and make affordable essentials accessible to individuals and families throughout Olympia and Thurston County. We are a subsidiary of Skoolie Foundation, a veteran-led, minority nonprofit dedicated to serving women, families, veterans, youth, and individuals experiencing hardship. Our work is rooted in dignity, sustainability, and community empowerment. Through ethical resale, workforce opportunities, and partnerships with local organizations, Olympia Skoolie Thrift helps create pathways to stability and self-sufficiency. Located inside the Olympia Women’s Empowerment Campus, we proudly share space with Java Queens Coffee and Evergreen Sandwich Co., creating a welcoming community hub where resources, opportunity, and connection come together. As we grow, we will continue expanding services, including on-site barbers and additional community-driven offerings. Every purchase supports sustainable reuse, local impact, and the mission of Skoolie Foundation—building hope, protecting our planet, and strengthening our community one item at a time.
