The two storey eatery boasts a bank of windows covered by lace curtains. Inspired by the sun drenched land of California, the menu reflects an intriguing combination of fruit and vegetables in each dish. Entrees include pan seared swordfish stuffed with cheese; or try the spaghetti tossed with chicken, asparagus, sun dried tomatoes and mushroom pesto. Another favorite of City Cafe is veal scaloppini sauteed with white wine, mushrooms and buttered noodles.

Founder Scott Jennings decided to showcase the harmony between great tasting food and ... well, a very specific counter-culture. The menu features over 30 signature sub sandwiches, as well as a variety of Rice Krispy treats, salads and munchies. Be advised, the wait for service is generally slow depending on the crowd, so show up early and be prepared to lick your lips as you take in the aromas wafting from the kitchen.
