The Surface Engineering Group has been in business since 2002. Its founders, Shannon Bosak and Gene Soderberg together have over 58 years of combined experience in building and operating Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) systems. The total number of machines built tops well over 200+ units. Both men have worked in the PVD field since 1981. The Surface Engineering Group specializes in manufacturing PVD equipment using cathodic arc and/or sputtering process systems. Source size is of no consequence and is easily adjusted to substrate size. In addition to new systems the Surface Engineering Group has refurbished many old style PVD machines bringing them up to current industry standards. A full automation option has been developed for both new and refurbished machines.
