Mabel Barral, APRN, is a board-certified family medicine nurse practitioner with more than 35 years of healthcare experience. She earned her undergraduate degree at Miami Regional University and completed her graduate studies at the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences of Havana. She also completed a residency at Sanitas Medical Center in West Palm Beach. Mabel is passionate about caring for older adults and supporting patients through vulnerable stages of life. She believes healthcare should be compassionate, personalized, and centered on each individual's goals and quality of life. Her approach emphasizes prevention, communication, and evidence-based care, with a strong focus on helping patients maintain their independence and overall well-being. With extensive experience in senior care, Mabel focuses on helping patients navigate complex health challenges through personalized care plans that involve patients, families, and caregivers. She places particular emphasis on preventive care, including fall prevention, medication management, cognitive health, nutrition, mobility, and early detection of health changes to help patients maintain function and quality of life. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the natural beauty of Ocala, visiting local parks and farmers' markets, trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
