Suzuki Sensei embodies many of the principals of Aikido and comes from a direct lineage of Aikidoka, based in Japan. What this means for the layman is she's "close to the source." She's very skilled and deeply cares about the art. We offer weekly classes for beginner through advanced students and hold special seminars throughout the year with internationally acclaimed instructors Our Founder and Head Instructor trained intensively in Japan for nearly 10 years. Communication and collaboration with Japanese instructors and others from around the world, continues and thrives at our school.
SBKM is Santa Barbara's only official Krav Maga Training Center. Offering classes and monthly seminars in self defense, intro to fighting, close quarter weapons defense, women only seminars, you/ teen anti-bully defense training, active shooter defense, basic ground fighting, multiple attackers and high intensity cardio fitness. SBKM does special event seminars and team building for groups. Instructors are available for private lessons for all ages. Private on-site and off-site self defense for businesses, non-profits, schools, sport teams and social organizations.
The goal of Aikido with Ki training is not to fight, but to live in peace and make this planet a better place. It is based on natures laws, where right is might, and emphasizes love, harmony, and a positive attitude. Neither size, weight, nor sex have anything to do with the execution of powerful Aikido.
OG Jiu Jitsu school is fun and challenging. We train hard, but always have a good time. It's a collective learning experience. Our program is our students. Keeping Master Carlson Gracie legacy.
