UMAA's Chief Instructor *Sifu* Dwight Woods, is a martial artist who has 40 years of experience, 39 of which have been dedicated to the study and practice of Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do.
We practice traditional Japanese Karate handed down from the great masters to our Chief Instructor, Yasuyoshi Saito, with over 40 years of teaching experience with international exposure. Our Karate style is Shotokan, which is the most competitive and widely adopted style in the world. We teach discipline, self confidence, concentration and physical conditioning.
Founded in 1997, Kyokuyama hosts a 7000 sq feet fighting gym which is located in the heart of Miami.
