Martial arts is for everyone. We work hard to ensure our class is inclusive for every member of the community. We also work hard to challenge you and help you become the best version of yourself. We do this through a LOT of hard work, support, and friendship.
Bushido takes the best elements of traditional martial arts and adapts them for today's world. Bushido is a hybrid style of martial arts, based in Kyokushinkai karate. Elements of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Aikido and Krav Maga are part of the style as well. Bushido Karate is a traditional martial arts school, which helps promote mental and physical wellness in students ages four and older. In addition, students can enroll at anytime and classes are adapted to fit the differing needs of every student. We offer a variety of classes for all ages starting as young as 3 years old! Mekter Nu is our head instructor. He earned his 4th degree black belt in 2016 from the Bushido School of Karate in White Plains, NY. Mekter has been training since 1997 and teaching since 2002. His goal is to always bring the very best out of each student and help them reach their individual potential. This often means surpassing what the student even thought possible! Currently we offer: Teen and Adult MMA Sundays at 11AM, Women's Self Defense and Fitness Sundays at 12 both are held at Lambert Fitness Center in Dorchester. Starting in January we have kids karate classes on Wedndesday and Friday at 6PM at Green Street Studios in Cambridge.

We are a nonprofit karate school that has been teaching karate and self-defense in Boston for over 40 years. Being nonprofit allows us to keep our monthly fees low so that everyone can afford to train and grow in an authentic traditional Japanese martial art. Beginners are welcome!
