At Cobrinha Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy Las Vegas, we believe that martial arts training can help every child and adult develop the mental and physical skills they need to succeed in life. Martial Arts isn't just about self-defense like so many believe. At Cobrinha BJJ Las Vegas, it's all about self-confidence, improved focus, physical strength, and positive social interaction. Cobrinha BJJ Las Vegas teaches our members to set goals, work hard, and follow-through, all the while having fun and making friends. Cobrinha BJJ Academy Las Vegas owner and head instructor Hector Vasquez learned Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from "Cobrinha" which is considered to be the best featherweight in history and became in 2017 the first (and only) black belt in history to complete the Super Slam by winning all 5 major tournaments (ADCC, World Championship, Pan Championship, European Championship, and Brazilian Nationals) in a single year. Hector has also won 5 World Championships, 5 American Nationals, and 4 Pan American titles and he is passing on his knowledge to his students; whom several are also world champions themselves.
Here at Family Martial Arts we strive to build strong, confident, leaders one black belt at a time. Through our carefully orchestrated program we help students build the skills they need to be successful inside and outside of the studio. We teach traditional marital arts with a modern flair to make sure that all our students can defend themselves both physically and mentally.
We make Discipline FUN. Our exclusive Life-Skills program instills Respect, Self-Esteem, Discipline, Belief, Honesty, and Communication centering around a postive and engaging martial arts program. Our instructors invest in each student, reviving positivity and building top physical fitness. As parents and mentors, it's critical to give kids what they need, and not just what they want. Master Shi Xing Wei arrived in Las Vegas with hopes to share the Chinese culture, especially Shaolin traditions, with those who wish to learn. On October 10, 2005 he founded Shaolin Kungfu Chan and has been offering his lifetime learned and practiced skills of Shaolin.Opening the academy would not have been possible without the support of his loyal, dedicated students and dear friends.
