In April 2025, we honored this legacy by renaming it the E. Thurman Walker Sports Complex and Community Center, celebrating the enduring impact of Rev. Dr. E. Thurman Walker—a visionary leader dedicated to uplifting our East Side neighborhoods. Our center features an NCAA-regulation basketball and volleyball court, a walking track, a fully equipped fitness area, and a dynamic aerobics and dance studio. More than just a sports venue, we are a vibrant hub for youth development, wellness programs, and community events, fostering connections and growth for all ages. LSA Sports Complex has batting cages, 2 sand volleyball courts and a soccer field all available for event rental, practices, clinics, and private training. By appointment.
