Helloo, and welcome to New Orleans! At the start of our tour, you will be greeted by one of our good looking and brainy tour guides, who will introduce themselves and get to know you. Then you will be whisked off to several fabulous restaurants, all in historic buildings that are over 200 years old. You will sample iconic New Orleans dishes such as perfectly spiced Jambalaya, steamy hot Creole Gumbo, the wonderful Muffaletta and Red Beans and Rice. Red beans and rice was Louis Armstrong, the famous jazz player's favorite dish throughout his lifetime, by the way! You will end your three hour tour with a dessert that came to us from France: the Pecan Praline. The first iteration of this delicious French treat was sugar coated almonds. However, almonds were not available locally back in the 1700; so they used pecans. Your guide will regale you with stories about New Orleans' fascinating 300 year history, and you will marvel at the amazing architecture here. Classy Greek Revival homes stand next to humble shotgun houses. The bright colors remind us of the Caribbean, from which came many immigrants.
