One of the best ways to get acquainted with Pittsford is aboard the Sam Patch. The boat is christened after the famous American thrill-seeker from the 1800s, who successfully leaped off the Niagara Falls and into the river, only to never return from his second attempt. The cabin is a replica of a yesteryear packet boat complete with an enclosed seating area and outdoor deck. The excursion route stretches from Schoen Place to Lock 32, with the friendly crew pointing out features of touristic significance. The picturesque city skyline forms a breathtaking backdrop to enhance your unforgettable experience.
