- 3 Missouri football players earn All-SEC postseason honors
Three Tigers , all of whom are 2025 NFL Draft prospects, are on the All-SEC teams.
Three Missouri football players earned All-SEC postseason honors, per a news release from the league and the Tigers on Tuesday. Wide receiver Luther Burden III earned an all-conference first-team nod, and offensive lineman Armand Membou and defensive end Johnny Walker Jr. earned second-team spots. The team was voted on by the conference's coaches.
Two of those Tigers — Burden and Membou — already have declared for the 2025 NFL Draft. Both players are juniors and have declared for the next level early. They have both opted out of MU's upcoming bowl game.
Walker, as it stands, is expected to play in the Tigers' bowl game on Dec. 30 against Iowa in Nashville, Tennessee, but is likely to hear his name called in April, too.

Burden, who currently has first-round NFL Draft projections, caught 61 passes for 676 receiving yards and six touchdowns. The East St. Louis High product also rushed for 115 yards and two more scores.
""He's one of the best players, if not the best player, to ever come to the University of Missouri ," Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz said Saturday, Nov. 30. "And for him to make that decision changed the trajectory of my career and our program. So, that's what's going to be remembered about Luther Burden . I'm not worried about today's game. This is a legacy deal. … The story is the legacy that he leaves the University of Missouri after choosing to come here, and I'm super proud of him."
Membou emerged as one of the nation's top offensive tackles, starting every game for the Tigers at right tackle this season. The Lee's Summit North High grad, which is near Kansas City, graded out as PFF College's 10th best tackle in the country.
The analytics service attributed Membou with allowing just seven pressures on the quarterback and zero sacks in 2024. He played 827 snaps this season, which ranked second among all MU players.
Walker registered a career-high 7.5 sacks as part of 10.5 tackles for loss in the regular season. The Tampa, Florida, product who spent his entire five-year career in Columbia forced three fumbles this season and recovered one loose ball.
The defensive end was named a team captain ahead of the 2024 season. Walker registered 37 pressures on opposing quarterbacks in 2024, according to PFF, which was one for approximately every 14 plays in which he was involved.
