Alabama football added another player in the 2027 recruiting class.
Alexander Ward, a 6-foot-1, 170-pound athlete out of Marietta, Georgia, committed to the Crimson Tide while holding offers from programs such as Georgia, Georgia Tech , South Carolina , Florida State and Auburn .

"Really as soon as I stepped into the stadium, it was a great atmosphere," Ward said on an On3 live stream. "And how the coaches accepted me into the brotherhood, how they operate and develop their players."
Ward is listed as an athlete and plays both defensive back and wide receiver for Walton High School in Georgia. When asked if he wanted to play either wide receiver or defensive back, Ward said he wanted to play "both."
Ward reportedly visited Alabama for its Nov. 16 win against Mercer.
Ward is the third 2027 commit for Alabama joining four-star defensive end Jabarrius Garror and four-star defensive end Ba'Roc Willis .

In 2024, Ward had nine receptions for 152 yards and two touchdowns as a receiver and 18 tackles, two interceptions a pass deflection and a fumble recovery at corner per MaxPreps.
