Finding a home as Alabama 's slot corner, Smith had a career-high 30 tackles, five pass deflections and a forced fumble in 2024, his first season as a starter. He was named Alabama's defensive player of the week after a five-tackle performance at LSU .
Smith primarily played special teams through his first three seasons with the Crimson Tide and only played in four games in 2023 rehabbing from an injury.
Smith was the No. 250 player and the No. 19 cornerback in the 2021 class out of Cincinnati, Ohio.
