- Alabama football lands 2024 international four-star DL from Canada
Alabama football has landed its second international commit in its 2024 class with four-star defensive lineman Steve Mboumoua.
Mboumoua, out of Notre Dame de Foy in Quebec City, Canada , chose the Crimson Tide over offers from Mississippi State , Auburn, Georgia and Florida . He is the second international commit in Alabama 's 2024 class behind Justin Okoronkwo (Germany).
247Sports Composite has the 6-foot-4, 260-pound Mboumoua listed as the No. 41 defensive lineman in the 2024 class. He joins Isaia Faga (Central-Phenix City, Alabama) and Jeremiah Beaman (Parker of Birmingham, Alabama) as the third defensive lineman commits in the Crimson Tide 's 2024 cycle.
Mboumoua originally picked up an offer from Alabama following a strong performance during a June camp. Since then, he has been back on campus multiple times, including for the Alabama vs Texas game on Sept. 9 (which was his first college football game) and for his official visit last weekend.
Mboumoua is said to have a strong relationship with Alabama defensive line coach Freddie Roach.
