Alabama football's spring practice schedule has come to an end.
The Crimson Tide took the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium for spring practice No. 15 at noon Saturday in its annual A-Day spring game.
With all eyes on the Alabama quarterback battle between Ty Simpson , Austin Mack and Keelon Russell , the Crimson Tide didn't hold a traditional game in front of fans with the barrage of injuries the Crimson Tide have had to navigate all spring. It was more of a practice.
Alabama will open its 2025 season Aug. 30 at Florida State.
Here's what happened during the 2025 A-Day sessions.
Germie Bernard , Jaylen Mbakwe , Cole Adams and Lotzeir Brooks are each working at Alabama punt return late in A-Day.
Austin Mack's struggles continue with an interception to freshman linebacker Abduall Sanders Jr. during 7-on-7 work.
Defensive back Zabien Brown picked off Austin Mack before the redshirt sophomore transfer out of Washington underthrew a pass on his next rep.
Kam Dewberry has been consistently working with the first-team offensive line at left guard. Dewberry is in a position battle with Geno VanDeMark to replace Tyler Booker .
Germie Bernard's first big play of A-Day came as a passer. Off a pitch from Ty Simpson , the veteran wide receiver connected with Isaiah Horton on a deep ball touchdown, leading to jubilation from the Alabama sideline.
Cam Calhoun made a big play. On a connection meant for Jalen Hale, Ty Simpson threw the ball into the hands of Cam Calhoun, who recorded a pass breakup.
Jaylen Mbakwe has been a friendly target for quarterbacks throughout Alabama's final spring practice. Russell found the converted cornerback in stride ona deep ball.
All three scholarship quarterbacks are working side by side. Ty Simpson, flanked on each side by Keelon Russell, and Austin Mack, found Jaylen Mbakwe for a 35-yard touchdown in individual position drills.
Shortly after participating in the Alabama football Walk of Fame ceremony, Deontae Lawson was out with the middle linebackers, coaching up a room that is much younger with him sidelined. Lawson was seen next to defensive coordinator Kane Wommack.
Domani Jackson is not practicing, but he is still with the Alabama football defensive backs as they work through individual drills. Jackson is standing next to Alabama walk-on DB Alijah May.
Alabama has started individual drills across the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Defense is in the south end zone, while quarterbacks work on throws to running backs and wide receivers at midfield.
Most throws are go balls down the sidelines.
Here are all the former Alabama players in attendance for A-Day 2025
QB Jalen Milroe
SAF Malachi Moore
OL Tyler Booker
Ivan Taylor has the practice's first turnover, picking off a pass by Alabama freshman Keelon Russell.
First quarterback on the field for Alabama? Ty Simpson, who easy throws across the field on traditional 11-on-11 drills.
Alabama football is starting to trickle onto the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The Crimson Tide quarterbacks are warming up in black non-contact jerseys.
While Ty Simpson, Austin Mack and Keelon Russell may be on full display Saturday at A-Day, don't expect an Alabama football starter to be named at quarterback.
"For us, people want to know about a decision and things like that, for us, we don't feel like they are to the point where there is separation, where there is a feeling that they have hit," Kalen DeBoer said Thursday on Tide 100.9 FM. "I think it would be pretty foolish for us to make a decision right now. We have plenty of time still to work through it, let these guys continue to work through the summer. Obviously, that takes us into fall camp where they will get some more reps. They are all three very talented and love the direction they are going."

The A-Day festivities started early Saturday with Alabama football honoring its four permanent team captains from 2024: quarterback Jalen Milroe, safety Malachi Moore, linebacker Deontae Lawson and offensive lineman Tyler Booker.
"This moment, and I had a chance to see up close and personal – it was a new experience for me – what this is all about," Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer said. "This is a special moment right here on a special day to put these guys and the legacy that they are leaving. I guess we got Deontae back... We're excited about that. But the legacy that these guys are continuing to leave, let's put it that way, and what they have done here and what they will continue to do representing us, not ponly just in football in the future, but life after football because success is going to follow these guys, I can promise you, wherever they go."
Alabama's newest hire will be on the sideline of Bryant-Denny Stadium Saturday.
Ryan Grubb, who was announced as the Crimson Tide's offensive coordinator for 2025 in February, will coach his first A-Day Saturday. Jason Jones, a former Alabama defensive back, will also return to Bryant-Denny as the program's defensive backs coach.
Here's a look at the DeBoer's coaching staff for Alabama football in 2025:

Alabama's 2024 A-Day was the Crimson Tide fans' introduction to Kalen DeBoer.
In front of 72,358 fans, Alabama's offense faced off against its defense in DeBoer's first spring game with the Crimson Tide. Germie Bernard stood out with three catches for 122 yards, while Jam Miller had 83 rushing yards and two touchdowns on eight carries.
The Alabama offense "won" A-Day 34-28.
For Kalen DeBoer, eliminating A-Day itself was not even a question.
"We understand the significance, and everyone loves football here. And so we want to give that day, make it available, show off our guys and let our guys do their thing," DeBoer said in March.
But in terms of what A-Day looks like, it will not be a "game."
Based on injuries that have ravaged the spring roster, Alabama held its final scrimmage of the spring behind closed doors Thursday. A-Day at Bryant-Denny Stadium will be a final spring practice, one that could include anything from individual position drills to 7-on-7 work.
"That practice-type environment is something that best accomplishes both the things for the fans that we want to do with the A Day, and for our football team to utilize practice 15 and continue to get better," DeBoer said.
