Bears cornerback Jaylon Johnson is out indefinitely with a groin injury , per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Chicago is still evaluating the full extent of the injury. They do not know whether surgery is necessary nor how long Johnson will be sidelined.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz later added that Johnson is likely to miss the rest of the regular season and will require surgery. But there is reportedly an outside chance he could return late in the season if Chicago is in contention.
Johnson left during the second quarter of Chicago's Week 2 loss against Detroit . He missed all of Bears training camp, the preseason, and the season opener with a groin injury.

It appears he reaggravated that injury breaking up a pass on Sunday.
Chicago's depth on defense will be put to the test with Johnson out for the foreseeable future.
Nahshon Wright , who had a pick-six in Week 1, should step in to fill Johnson's spot in the starting lineup.
Regardless, the pressure will be on Chicago's defense after giving up 52 points in Week 2.

Bears QB Caleb Williams pushed back on the idea that there's been "tough film to watch" after Chicago's 0-2 start.

"It's always pointing the finger at yourself before you go pointing at anybody else," Williams told Jason Lieser of the Chicago Sun Times. "I'm not necessarily going to say 'tough film' or anything like that. You're going to make mistakes."
Williams did not want to blame others on the team for their struggles. Instead, Williams is going to focus on how he can improve his own game.
"You've got to go out there and not be fearful of making a mistake, and that's how I play," Williams added. "If something happens, all right, cool, move on to the next play and let's go back out there."
Bears fans have to be concerned after a miserable start to the Ben Johnson era.
