The Oregon Ducks ' have a long history of producing great quarterbacks, and the most recent group of guys to go to the NFL, mainly Bo Nix and Justin Herbert , have been special at the next level.
Nix had a stellar rookie year in 2024, but he had been flying under the radar for most of the 2025 season, getting off to a tough 0-2 start. That all changed on Sunday after he led one of the most improbable comebacks of all time against the New York Giants and made history while doing so.

In the fourth quarter, Denver was down 19-0 at one point, and later 26-8. They then scored 33 points in the quarter, the most in franchise history, and came out with an improbable 33-32 win thanks to a game-winning field goal from Will Lutz as the clock hit zero.
Not only was it an incredible comeback, but Nix made history in the final frame, becoming the first player in league history to record two passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns in one quarter.
Nix has helped the Broncos to a 5-2 record and has them firmly in the playoff race nearly halfway through the season. After a quiet start to this season, this game could be exactly what Nix needed to get things going.
