After serving a suspension for what the school called an "inadvertent reporting error" made to the Ohio High School Athletic Association, Mark Marinelli will remain as boys wrestling coach at Olentangy Liberty.
"Mark Marinelli is still the head coach of the program and an employee of the district," a spokesperson told The Dispatch.
According to an earlier statement from the school, Marinelli made mistakes when submitting individual wrestler's win-loss records for seeding purposes prior to the postseason.
For his part, Marinelli confirmed that he remains the Patriots coach but didn't offer anything further.
Marinelli, who completed his 18th season with the program, sat out the Division I district tournament Feb. 28 and March 1 at Hilliard Darby. The Patriots finished second (173.5) behind Dublin Coffman (240).
Liberty qualified seven wrestlers for the state tournament, which was held Friday-Sunday at Ohio State's Value City Arena, finishing eighth (53) behind Lakewood St. Edward (258). Marinelli was present for the state tournament.
