After being waived with an injury designation on Tuesday, Denver Broncos defensive lineman Kristian Williams cleared waivers on Wednesday and reverted to the team's injured reserve list, according to the NFL's transaction wire.
Unless he reaches an injury settlement with the team and is released from IR, Williams (6-2, 295 pounds) will be ineligible to play this season. He signed with the Broncos this spring as an undrafted free agent.
Williams becomes the team's fifth player to land on season-ending IR, joining fullback Michael Burton , offensive lineman Nick Gargiulo , outside linebacker Johnny Walker and defensive lineman Matt Henningsen . Denver also has one player -- linebacker Drew Sanders -- on short-term IR. Sanders is eligible to return after four games.
