Broncos poach offensive lineman off Cowboys' practice squad
The Denver Broncos are poaching an offensive lineman off the Dallas Cowboys ' practice squad.
The Broncos are signing veteran tackle Geron Christian , the lineman's agency announced on Twitter/X . Christian (6-5, 302 pounds) is a 29-year-old veteran who originally entered the league with Washington as a third-round pick out of Louisville in 2018.
Christian has played with eight NFL teams, most recently spending the first half of the season on Dallas' practice squad. He has 25 career starts on his resume, but hasn't started in a regular-season game since 2023.
Christian will shore up the team's tackle depth behind starters Garett Bolles and Mike McGlinchey . After moving backup tackle Alex Palczewski to left guard, Denver's only remaining backup tackle was Frank Crum .
The Broncos will need to create a spot for Christian on the 53-man roster before Wednesday's practice. Denver could cut a player or place a player on injured reserve to make room on the active roster.
