The Kansas City Chiefs elevated former first-round pick Clyde Edwards-Helaire from their practice squad in Week 12.
Edwards-Helaire, a veteran running back who cut his teeth with the LSU Tigers before joining Kansas City as the No. 32 pick in the 2020 NFL draft, may factor into the Chiefs' ground game with star rusher Isiah Pacheco sidelined due to a knee injury.
Kansas City is set to face the Indianapolis Colts this afternoon in a game that could prove to be massively consequential in the AFC playoff race.
Nick Jacobs of KSHB 41 announced that Edwards-Helaire had been elevated in a post to Twitter on Saturday:
Veteran running back Kareem Hunt is expected to be the Chiefs' primary option in the running game today, but fans should stay tuned to see if head coach Andy Reid will decide to give Edwards-Helaire some playing time in Kansas City's must-win matchup with the Colts.
