The Atlanta Falcons have finally found some offensive line help, trading a late-round draft pick to the Seattle Seahawks for offensive tackle Michael Jerrell , according to a report from NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. The Falcons desperately needed to add a right tackle after losing both Kaleb McGary and Storm Norton to injuries last week.
Jerrell, 26, was drafted in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL draft by the Seahawks. Last season, he appeared in 10 games for Seattle, making three starts. According to Pelissero, the Falcons sent a conditional 2027 seventh-round pick to the Seahawks in exchange for Jerrell.
While there's no guarantee the second-year lineman starts for Atlanta this season, he should provide good depth at the very least.
Head coach Raheem Morris indicated that the team would start veteran Elijah Wilkinson at right tackle until McGary or Norton is healthy enough to return. While Jerrell doesn't have much experience, he gives the team another option if Wilkinson can't get the job done.
