How many games will the Green Bay Packers win this season? Basing predictions on preseason expectations is always a gamble, but it is also a fun exercise. One of the youngest NFL teams has positioned itself as one of the top competitors in the NFC, but the next step hasn't been taken. While the NFL playoffs are what matter most, Green Bay is poised for a strong season.

Let's dive into our game-by-game Packers predictions for their 17-game schedule.

Week 1 vs Detroit Lions : Win (1-0)

The Packers were swept by the Detroit Lions last season, and they have a 1-5 record against them over the last three seasons. Thankfully for Green Bay , it gets to open the season against a Detroit team that underwent a number of changes this offseason. The Lions have new play-callers on both sides of the ball, which typically comes with an acclimation period. Furthermore, the interior of the Lions' offensive line will have two new starters. The lack of continuity in Week 1 proves key, with the Packers pulling out a close win.

Week 2 vs Washington Commanders : Win (2-0)

The Washington Commanders feel like the breakout team that takes a step back the following year. Even with the improvements made offensively, Washington's defense remains a question. While Jayden Daniels should certainly deliver an outstanding performance, the breaks that went the Commanders' way last season don't in this Week 2 matchup. This helps running back Josh Jacobs and the Packers' defense pull out the win.

Week 3 @ Cleveland Browns : Win (3-0)

It's always nice to face one of the worst NFL teams. While the Cleveland Browns' defense should be formidable in 2025, the offense is another story. Joe Flacco will give the Packers' secondary plenty of takeaway opportunities, and Cleveland's run defense will probably be a liability. This allows Green Bay to control the clock, easily moving to a 3-0 start to the season.

Week 4 @ Dallas Cowboys : Win (4-0)

Since the 2010s, the Packers have a 9-1 record against the Dallas Cowboys. Very little about this year's version of either team suggests that dominance is going to change. The Packers' offense is built to exploit the Cowboys' defense, in part due to Green Bay's depth and versatility in the receiving corps. We're not expecting a blowout by any means, but Jordan Love will continue the recent ownership by Packers quarterbacks of AT&T Stadium.

Week 6 vs Cincinnati Bengals : Loss (4-1)

It should be a shootout at Lambeau Field in Week 4. While the Packers have a superior defense compared to Cincinnati, the Bengals' tandem of Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins is perfect for attacking Green Bay's cornerbacks. The Packers' pass rush is also a bit of a concern, and Joe Burrow , with time to throw, is arguably the second-most dangerous quarterback in the NFL. The Bengals go into Wisconsin and end the Packers' losing streak.

Week 7 @ Arizona Cardinals : Win (5-1)

The Arizona Cardinals are going to surprise some people this season, with an emerging offense and an underrated defense. However, a team with a better roster and coaching staff usually comes out on top, especially when they have the added edge of more experience. The Packers stroll into Arizona and see Josh Jacobs be the difference-maker in a nail-biting win over the Cardinals.

Week 8 @ Pittsburgh Steelers : Win (6-1)

The Packers finally get to face off against Aaron Rodgers . While the future Hall of Famer avoids a return to Lambeau Field, he does face a Packers defense that can expose his vulnerabilities in his age-41 season. Rodgers is going to be under duress, and with a receiving corps he still doesn't completely trust, the Jets ' offense goes stagnant. In what will be the only time Rodgers faces his former team, the Packers get a decisive victory.

Week 9 vs Carolina Panthers : Win (7-1)

The hot start to the 2025 NFL season continues for Green Bay. Against a Carolina Panthers team that is still rebuilding, Jordan Love and company take total advantage of a woeful defense. Love is going to have a lot of time to throw in Week 9, allowing him to pepper Matthew Golden , Jayden Reed , and Tucker Kraft with targets in a comfortable victory.

Week 10 vs Philadelphia Eagles : Loss (7-2)

The Green Bay Packers get their rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles, this time at Lambeau Field. It could be one of the best NFL games in 2025, but the Eagles' advantages in the trenches make a huge difference. Green Bay simply won't be able to create enough penetration in the Eagles' backfield, allowing Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts to grind out the clock and earn another win over the Packers.

Week 12 vs Minnesota Vikings : Win (8-2)

After being swept by the Minnesota Vikings in 2024, Green Bay gets its revenge this time around. J.J. McCarthy will have more than enough experience at this point that he won't be rattled by a trip to Lambeau Field. The Vikings also have one of the best defenses in football, and Green Bay still has no answer for Justin Jefferson . In the fourth quarter, though, an Aaron Jones fumble sets up the Packers' offense for a go-ahead score and a key NFC North victory.

Week 13 @ Detroit Lions: Loss (8-3)

Once the Lions work through the early adjustment period with the new-look offensive line and play-caller situation, they'll be the best team in the NFC North. Detroit boasts a superior roster, with the run game to cause Green Bay fits and the defensive depth to slow down the Packers' offense. In front of a raucous crowd, the Lions split the season series with Green Bay.

Week 14 vs Chicago Bears : Win (9-3)

The Packers face the Chicago Bears twice in December, just two weeks apart, with the first game offering Green Bay a shot at revenge for last season's meeting at Lambeau Field. Chicago is expected to be a much better football team this season, but they aren't on Green Bay's level yet. In one of the best team-wide performances by Green Bay in 2025, the Packers secure a winning record.

Green Bay Packers 24, Chicago Bears 27

Week 15 @ Denver Broncos : Loss (9-4)

Facing arguably the best defense in the league, the Packers' offense goes stagnant. Love is picked off twice, and constant issues on long third downs put the unit in a hole they can never dig out of. Playing from a clean pocket, Bo Nix takes full advantage and helps push Denver to a statement victory at home.

Denver Broncos 20, Green Bay Packers 10

Week 16 @ Chicago Bears: Win (10-4)

Sweeps are going to be harder and harder to come by in the NFC North in the seasons to come, but the Packers go into Chicago and pull it off. Rebounding from their worst offensive showing of the season, the Packers put up three first-half touchdowns to quiet the crowd at Soldier Field. A valiant effort from Caleb Williams falls short on a game-winning field goal attempt that goes wide, eliminating the Bears from playoff contention.

Week 17 vs Baltimore Ravens : Loss (10-5)

The Baltimore Ravens could be the best NFL team in 2025 and they are perfectly equipped to go into Lambeau Field and defeat Green Bay. Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry will do most of the damage, but this Ravens' defense will ensure the Packers never have a chance to rally. Baltimore secures the No. 1 seed in the AFC, while the Packers are left still battling for the NFC North crown heading into Week 18.

Baltimore Ravens 34, Green Bay Packers 24

Week 18 @ Minnesota Vikings: Loss (10-6)

A trip to Minnesota ends Green Bay's regular season on a low note. In a game that the Vikings control for three quarters, Love commits two turnovers, and some drops by the Packers' receiving corps only make things worse. While the Packers still make the playoffs, they do so with a concerning 1-3 record in the final month of the season.
