Jackson, 20, will join the Hustle on their current road trip. The team will play the Valley Suns on Wednesday and Friday in Tempe, Arizona.
Jackson was named a second-team member of the NBA All-Rookie team last season, when he averaged 14.6 points and 4.1 rebounds in 48 games.
An injury and a healthier Grizzlies team has led to Jackson playing a different role. He didn't make his season debut until January after needing foot surgery in the offseason.
The Grizzlies want Jackson focusing on the defensive end. He is averaging 7.8 points in 16.2 minutes per game this season.
