Then, Morant will be re-evaluated , according to ESPN's Shams Charania.
"Grizzlies say star guard Ja Morant will be re-evaluated in two weeks due to a Grade 1 right calf strain," Charania reported.
The Grizzlies, on a four-game losing streak, have lost eight of their last nine games amidst a four-game road trip. They will face the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday. Following Morant's suspension for arguing with the Grizzlies' coaches , Ja hasn't turned in a handful of lackluster performances.

Grizzlies guard Ja Morant's strained calf will be evaluated in two weeks, which doesn't mean he'll be ready by then. It's an unfortunate setback for the veteran guard, whose season ended in Game 3 of the first round of the playoffs. Many anticipated a strong comeback from Morant. Instead, it's been anything but that.
From the one-game suspension to another injury setback, Morant's personal hurdles this season amid the Grizzlies' struggles have quickly become one of the bigger NBA stories of 2025-26.
