For the first time Wednesday evening, the BYU Cougars football program released an injury report as part of the Big 12 Conference’s new initiative this season.

Utah released its first injury reports last week — and ended up getting plenty of flak for it this week — while Wednesday was the first time 25th-ranked BYU has done so. Conference games are the only ones in which reports are mandated and the Utes opened conference play last weekend, while the Cougars will do so this weekend.
