Jacksonville Jaguars rookie running back Bhayshul Tuten had already set his NFL best for rushing yards in one game and had his third touchdown of the season.
He was then hurt on a 5-yard carry in the red zone early in the fourth quarter of the Jaguars ' game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Nov. 16 at EverBank Stadium.
Tuten injured his right ankle when being tackled by L.A.'s Da'Shawn Hand and Tuli Tuipulotu as he reached the Chargers' 7-yard line. Tuten had carried the ball five times for 18 yards on the drive, which ended when Trevor Lawrence flipped a 1-yard TD pass to Tim Patrick with 11:38 left in the game to give the Jags a 28-6 lead.
Tuten's return was listed as questionable by the Jaguars. He had 74 yards on 15 carries before he was hurt. His previous best game was 42 yards on eight carries against Cincinnati in week two.
His touchdown came on a 4-yard run in the first quarter.
