- Jalen Milroe stats, 40-yard dash, NFL mock drafts, more for Alabama football QB
Former Alabama football quarterback Jalen Milroe boasts some of the best athletic traits of the 2025 NFL Draft.
It'll be a surprise, however, if the three-year starter goes in the first round on Thursday in Green Bay, Wisconsin, as he's viewed as a project quarterback who needs more seasoning before being ready to lead an NFL offense.
Milroe, a former four-star recruit, started games in place of eventual No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young in 2022, before taking over the reins for 2023 and 2024. He opted to stay with the Crimson Tide after legendary coach Nick Saban retired, running Kalen DeBoer's offense for a season.

Here are the latest NFL mock draft projections for Milroe:
USA TODAY Sports: First round, No. 30 overall to New York Giants (trade with Buffalo Bills )
NFL.com: Second round, No. 33 overall to Cleveland Browns
The Athletic: Second round, No. 34 overall to New York Giants
CBS Sports: First round, No. 26 overall to Los Angeles Rams
Here's what USA TODAY Sports' Nate Davis wrote of Milroe:
"It feels like New York has to get a quarterback in this draft, if not with the No. 3 pick. And with veterans Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston now in the building, this could be a perfect scenario to redshirt and develop a raw but explosive and tantalizing talent like Milroe – and working with HC Brian Daboll, who was intrinsic to Josh Allen 's development in Buffalo, could be optimal for a player who needs to progress into a more accurate, polished passer … while also potentially cooling Daboll's hot seat. Yet it's starting to seem like Milroe is generating enough intrigue that Daboll and GM Joe Schoen might need to leverage their Bills connections and move up a few spots for Milroe to ensure they don't miss out ."
Milroe ran a blazing 4.40-second official 40-yard dash at Alabama's Pro Day, according to SEC Network. He didn't participate in measuring drills at the NFL combine.
The time is one of the fastest runs by a quarterback in recent memory and certainly boosted his draft stock. Milroe even hit 22.5 miles per hour on a 72-yard touchdown run against LSU in 2024.
Here are the rest of his measurables , according to NFL.com:
Height:6-foot-2
Weight:217
Arm length:30 and 5/8 inches
Hand length:9 and 3/4 inches
