Jayden Daniels gets good injury news 3 weeks before Broncos game
With their Sunday Night Football clash with the Denver Broncos just under three weeks away, the Washington Commanders received good news on the Jayden Daniels injury front.
Washington's second-year quarterback suffered a "simple dislocation" last week, and his elbow injury will not require surgery . That's the best-case scenario for Daniels, and the Commanders will not place him on injured reserve.
By not placing Daniels on short-term IR, D.C. signaled that the team has hope he could miss fewer than four games. The Commanders are scheduled to play a home game against the Miami Dolphins on Nov. 16, followed by a bye in Week 12. Washington is then scheduled to host the Broncos in Week 13 on Nov. 30.
"I hope to give you guys an update after the bye week about where he is and, you know, where we go from there," Commanders coach Dan Quinn said last Friday . "But after that, I'll give you an update on where it's at and we'll give us a couple weeks to get to that space. That's where we're at."
Denver, meanwhile, is scheduled to host the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11, followed by a Week 12 bye. After that, the Broncos will travel to D.C. to face the Commanders.
