Jordon Davison wins Ducks Wire Player of the Game vs. Wisconsin
It wasn’t a perfect performance at all for the Oregon Ducks in their 21-7 victory over the Wisconsin Badgers . The offense couldn’t get anything going in the first half, then it started to rain furiously just when they began to look like the Ducks offense we’ve seen all season.
It was just a weird day for an Oregon offense that has been a well-oiled machine for most of the season, but the one player who didn’t miss a beat was running back Jordon Davison , this week’s Ducks Wire Player of the Game .
Starting running back Noah Whittington got up a bit wobbly early in the game, which opened up a chance for Davison to receive more carries and he ran with it. He gained 102 yards on 16 carries and found his way into the end zone twice in the best game of his young college career.
Early in the season he had mostly been used as a short-yardage back, but his role has expanded greatly as the season has gone on. It wasn’t a day to remember for the Ducks as a team, but it was certainly a day that Davison will look back on fondly when he thinks about his performance.
