But while everyone seems excited about the two being together, Shaquille O'Neal
doesn't think the high-profile relationship will last too long.
When asked to comment about it, the Hall of Famer immediately gave the new power couple a timeline.
"Six weeks,"
said
Shaq. "The line is six weeks."
Klay and Megan are official as of Wednesday
Rumors began swirling last week after fans spotted someone resembling Klay in the background of an Instagram photo Megan posted, showing her lounging poolside in a bikini during a vacation. Then, a couple of days later, the Dallas Mavericks guard posted a collage on his Instagram page with two photos of him with a woman who appeared to be the "Hot Girl Summer" rapper.

There was, however, no confirmation from either party until Wednesday, when they took the red carpet together. The pair held hands as they exited their vehicle, officially confirming that they are a couple.
"This is my first relationship where I've ever been with somebody who's genuinely a nice person, and he makes me genuinely happy,"
Megan told PageSix
while on the red carpet. "I just never dated somebody like him before, and I'm just grateful that he's here by my side and he feels the same way about me."

Tyson disagreed with O'Neal's prediction
O'Neal's guest on his "The Big Podcast," former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson
, disagreed with his prediction on the Klay-Megan relationship.
"That might last a long time. You know, six weeks ain't nothing. She got that shot. So you've got to give her some credit. You got to give a little credit that he might got some staying power,"
said Tyson.
Both Megan and Klay have had their fair share of public relationships.

The Mavericks guard has previously been linked to several high-profile women, including actress Laura Harrier. Their on-and-off relationship made headlines between 2018 and 2020, but ended quietly.
Before that, he had been connected to other public figures, though he's kept most of his private life under wraps.
Megan previously dated fellow rapper Pardison Fontaine. Their relationship was often in the spotlight, with the two publicly expressing their affection on social media and during interviews. However, they reportedly split earlier this year.

Prior to that, she was linked to rapper Moneybagg Yo and had briefly been involved in rumors involving other artists in the hip-hop scene — though she's always been clear about setting boundaries around her private life.
U.S. betting sites like to make prop bets out of the strangest things, including the span of a high-profile relationship involving cross-industry celebrities. Right now, there isn't an American sportsbook offering an over/under prop bet on the Klay-Megan relationship, and it's unclear if it's even worth putting up a betting line for.
Still, based on their interviews about each other, the two sound like they're here for more than just the fun part of it.
