The Lions' defense, despite missing three secondary starters, played well enough to win against an Eagles offense that is the highest-paid in the NFL, but the offense was bullied by the Eagles' defense as Jared Goff saw his offensive line beat up front all day.
Goff missed on 16 of his final 18 pass attempts.
Coach Dan Campbell, calling the offensive pays for the second straight week , saw his Lions go 0-for-5 on fourth down, including short yardage stuffs in the first half on a fake punt and on fourth-and-1, and at the goal line on an incompletion.
Then, down 16-6 in the fourth quarter with 5:12 to play, he punted on fourth-and-10 from the Lions' 42.
