The Texas Tech football team will have some new icy white uniforms to sport during the Nov. 8 game against BYU at Jones AT&T Stadium.
Patrick Mahomes and adidas unveiled Tech's new "Too Cold" uniforms on Monday, the second in the line as part of the partnership between adidas, Texas Tech athletics and the football team's most notable alum. The previous uniforms were brought out for the home game against Deion Sanders and Colorado last season.
"This year's Mahomes Strategy uniform is the product of a truly unique, only strengthening collaborative effort starting in 2024 between adidas, Red Raiders alum Patrick Mahomes and Texas Tech to push boundaries of collegiate sports and athlete partnerships," the news release states.
Mahomes' Gladiator logo is featured prominently on the chest with "Mahomes" scripted inside the neck collar of the jerseys.
"The crisp white uniform," the release states, "is accented with Texas Tech's iconic power red and galvanized — almost metallic — numbers, giving the uniform a bold and sharp look."
Mahomes is also set to attend the Nov. 8 game in what will be Texas Tech's first white-out game in seven years.
Fans can purchase the garments at adidas.com.
