Miami Dolphins 1-on-1s with pass rush trio Bradley Chubb, Jaelan Phillips, Chop Robinson
MIAMI GARDENS ― The Miami Dolphins have three dynamic edge rushers who were selected within the first 21 picks of the first round.
Bradley Chubb , 29, is a Georgia native selected fifth overall in 2018.
"It’s a race to the quarterback," Chubb says. "And nobody wants to be the last one there."
Jaelan Phillips , 26, is a California native selected 18th overall in 2021.
"We can really change games," Phillips says of Miami's sack artists.

Chop Robinson , 22, is a Maryland native selected 21st overall in 2024.
"Super excited," Chop says of Miami's pass rush group, which could be the most dangerous in the NFL.
Chubb, Phillips and Robinson have never been on the field at the same time in a regular-season game.
Chubb missed all of last season with a knee injury. Phillips missed the last 13 games of last season with a knee injury.
While they were rehabbing together, Chubb and Phillips were also encouraging Robinson, a rookie who emerged as a potential star.
Chubb, Phillips and Robinson are all friendly and approachable off the field. And they all turn on the aggression on Sundays.
The Palm Beach Post knows how much these three like and support each other. So, we decided to ask them about their teammates.
Three one-on-one conversations have been clustered and lightly edited for clarity.
Here's how it went:
What they admire about each other
Joe Schad: So, what are three traits you'd choose to describe Bradley Chubb?
Jaelan Phillips:I'd say discipline. I'd say kind. I'd say motivated. He shows up every day. Every day he's in here doing extra rehab, doing extra workouts, doing extra conditioning and the offseason, he's working on his body, he's doing drills, he's doing everything. He's just like the prime example of a pro and he does everything right.
Chop Robinson:Power. Hands. Goofiness.
Joe Schad: What about Chop Robinson?
Jaelan Phillips:Talented. Good person. Freaky. He's just a freak of nature. The turns, the way his body moves, where he moves, you know, I think he's literally like built to rush the passer.
Bradley Chubb:Fast. Bendy. And elusive.
Joe Schad: What about Jalean Phillips?
Bradley Chubb:Physical, fast, dominant.
Chop Robinson:Funny. Energetic. Speed.
Joe Schad: So, what move are you stealing from a teammate?
Jaelan Phillips:Chop's 'Ghost.' That dip under the tackle.
Bradley Chubb:I would steal Chop's 'Ghost' move for sure.
Joe Schad: There's a major league pitcher with a 'Ghost fork' pitch. Is pass rush sequence sort of like pitch sequencing?
Bradley Chubb:Hundred percent. You gotta think about it. What you're going against. What you gave them last time and how he reacted to what you gave them last time. And then you know, what you're thinking about shooting the next couple of times. In what order. Hundred percent.
Chop Robinson:I wish I had Jaelan's long arms. I would take Bradley's rip move.
Who's the fastest, strongest?
Joe Schad: Who would run the fastest among the three?
Jaelan Phillips:Me.
Bradley Chubb:My pride is gonna say me but realistically I gotta give it to Chop. JP's pretty fast, too. Chop ran a 4.4.
Chop Robinson:That's not even a question. Me.
Joe Schad: Who is the strongest in the weight room?
Jaelan Phillips:Probably Chubb. I might say me. But I'll go with Chubb.
Bradley Chubb:I'm gonna have to say myself on that one.
Chop Robinson:I'm gonna give it to JP.
Joe Schad: What about extreme versatility. If forced to play 10 snaps at tight end in the opener against Indianapolis, who would do the best?
Jaelan Phillips:Me. Why? I'm the most athletic. And the tallest. And biggest.
Personal stylists in football?
Joe Schad: Best dressed?
Jaelan Phillips:Chubb.
Bradley Chubb:It's all going to me too.
Chop Robinson:JP can put it on without a stylist. With the stylist I'm going to go with Chubb.
Joe Schad: Bradley, you have a personal stylist, like Joe Burrow?
Bradley Chubb:I've got a shopper, a personal shopper. But I'm not on Joe's level yet.
Joe Schad: Best car?
Jaelan Phillips:Me.
Bradley Chubb:Those two love cars. I'll give it to JP. The Porsche.
Chop Robinson:Me. The BMW.
Joe Schad: Best talker?
Bradley Chubb:JP is probably the most vocal like running around and like, 'Come on guys!'
Jaelan Phillips:Me.
Chop Robinson:Honestly, I give it to both of them.
Joe Schad: Best or worst taste?
Jaelan Phillips:I would say me and Chubb have the best taste in music. Chop has the worst taste in food.
Bradley Chubb:I've got the best music to be honest with you. Who should you listen to? Gunna. That's one of my favorite artists right now – Gunna.
Chop Robinson:JP has the best food. When I first got down here I asked him about some food spots. And he's got some good steak spots.
Sacks, celebrations and a nickname?
Joe Schad:We know all about the Chop sack celebration. What about a nickname? I have heard 'CPR' for 'Chubb, Phillips, Robinson.'
Jaelan Phillips:We kind of came up with three-headed snake. It's from a song that we like by Gunna . We're also the big dogs, that's what we call ourseleves. CPR is good though, I can't lie.
Bradley Chubb:I'm not gonna lie, I like CPR, bro. Heartbeat. We have also talked about the three-headed snake.
Chop Robinson:I think we should go with three-headed snake. You should listen to the Gunna song, '3-Headed Snake.'
Joe Schad: Are you guys going to choreograph any special celebrations this season?
Bradley Chubb:Jaelan and I had one in the past where we kind of like mirrored each other. I would say one person was a little smoother than the other. I'm not gonna say which one but one person was a little smoother than the other.
Joe Schad: So you think you're a better dancer?
Bradley Chubb:Yeah, hunded percent.
Chop Robinson:I'll hop on whatever Jaelan plans. For me, it's just the straight Chop.
Joe Schad: So, who's going to have the most sacks this season?
Jaelan Phillips:Me.
Bradley Chubb:We all know what mark we're trying to hit. We all have that number in our head. JP and Chop haven't felt that 10-plus feeling, so I know they're trying to get after it.
Chop Robinson:All three of us. I think we're all going to be tied with double digits.
