- Missouri football gets commitment from 4-star quarterback in Class of 2026
Mizzou got another Pa. announcement at quarterback.
Missouri football secured a commitment from Class of 2026 quarterback Gavin Sidwar, who plays his high school football at La Salle College in Warrington, Pennsylvania . Sidwar announced his pledge to the Tigers via his X account Friday afternoon, becoming the third player to commit to Mizzou's next recruiting class in this cycle.
It's the second straight year that Missouri has landed a high school quarterback out of the state of Pennsylvania, following 2025 rookie Matt Zollers, who is from Royersford, Pennsylvania, and enrolled with the team in January.
If the Tigers ' quarterback room remains unchanged through the beginning of the 2026 campaign, they could have three quarterbacks from Pennsylvania: Zollers, Sidwar and Penn State transfer Beau Pribula, who is from York, Pennsylvania.

Sidwar, who is listed at 6 foot 3, 195 pounds, is rated as a four-star prospect in the recruiting service 247Sports' composite rankings. He is ranked as the No. 23 quarterback and the No. 342 overall prospect in his class.
According to 247 Sports, he had offers from 13 different Power-conference schools, including Ole Miss , Duke and Indiana.
Sidwar is the third player to commit to Mizzou in this recruiting cycle, following three-star defensive lineman Anthony Kennedy Jr. and three-star safety D'Montae Tims.
The Tigers are still lagging behind much of the SEC in the 2026 recruiting class rankings. With Sidwar on board, Mizzou now holds the No. 58 recruiting class in the country, per 247Sports' team rankings. That ranks No. 14 in the SEC, ahead of Florida and Kentucky , which are also the only teams in the conference with less than three commitments in this cycle to date.

With signing day and two expected transfer portal windows to come before the 2026 season rolls around, nothing is set in stone as far as roster retention is concerned. But, as of Friday, the Tigers can return every scholarship quarterback currently on their roster in 2026.
Pribula and Sam Horn both have two remaining years of eligibility, and Zollers will be a true freshman in the 2025 campaign.
