- Nebraska Receives Message from 4-Star QB Amid Matt Rhule Rumors
Matt Rhule and the Nebraska Cornhuskers picked up their fifth win of the 2025 season, defeating the Maryland Terrapins 34-31. Sitting at 5-1, Nebraska is facing the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Friday.
The Cornhuskers' success has propelled Rhule into the spotlight. After the Penn State Nittany Lions fired James Franklin, he has emerged as a replacement option. "The fit factor with Rhule at Penn State is off the charts," wrote ESPN's Adam Rittenberg.

Losing Rhule would have several major impacts on Nebraska, including its recruiting cycles. The 2027 class already has four commitments, including four-star quarterback Trae Taylor out of Lake in the Hills, Illinois.
