On Thursday, the news broke that the Pittsburgh Steelers and star edge defender T.J. Watt had agreed to terms on a huge new contract. The new four-year contract has a total value of $144 million, with $123 million in new money and $108 million of that guaranteed. Watt is now the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history on a per-season basis.
This massive contract caught the eye of Watt's big brother, J.J., and he took the opportunity to congratulate him and make a pretty good joke at the same time.
As the graphic CBS Sports shared, despite the elder Watt having a Hall of Fame NFL career, the type of money his little brother is earning absolutely dwarfs what J.J. made during his career.
The Steelers report to training camp in just one week. Watt and the Steelers agreeing to terms now means there won't be any holdouts or hold-ins, as the case may be.
