Oregon Ducks’ betting line increases ahead of Montana State Bobcats matchup
In just a few short hours, the Oregon Ducks will hit the ground running in their highly anticipated Week One showdown with the Montana State Bobcats . Make no mistake about it — the Bobcats are no pushover — but in a far weaker conference than the Ducks , pulling out an upset would be quite the challenge.
After opening as four-score favorites, the line has swung even further in Oregon’s favor. Fan Duel Sportsbook raised the line to -27.5 and the over/under to 56.5, though the moneyline odds remain stagnant at -4500.
A few weeks back, the line was set at -25.5, but with no major injuries to report, there’s no definitive indication of what caused it to jump. Perhaps bettors just respect the machine that has been build in Eugene.
It’s clear who should win this game, but the Ducks can’t show up and just expect Montana State to roll over.
Dan Lanning’s team will be fielding a much different roster than year, with a ton of transfer portal talent and first-year starters. This would suggest that it might be difficult to fire on all cylinders right out of the gates, but the sportsbooks have supreme confidence that the Ducks will figure it out on the fly and chase the Bobcats out of town.
