The Jets placed linebacker Quincy Williams on injured reserve on Tuesday with a shoulder injury , per ESPN's Rich Cimini. He will miss at least four weeks as a result.
Williams picked up the shoulder injury in Sunday's loss against the Buccaneers.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero added that the injury is not season-ending , but Williams will still be down for at least four weeks.
Williams emerged as a star on the Jets back in 2021 and has been a mainstay with the organization ever since. He's logged 100+ tackles in each of the last four seasons. But that streak could come to an end with his recent shoulder injury.

Williams managed 15 total tackles and one-and-a-half sacks through three games this season.

Quincy Williams is not the only important Jets player dealing with an injury.
QB Justin Fields missed Week 3 because he is in concussion protocol. His status remains uncertain ahead of Week 4.
Jets head coach Aaron Glenn gave a vague answer about Fields' status when asked about it on Monday.
"We'll talk about that today as a staff," Glenn said per ESPN's Rich Cimini. "We'll make sure we come out with the right answer for that. I know what you're trying to ask, but we'll make sure we talk about that as a staff, first and foremost."

Thankfully, New York should still be in good hands if Fields misses another game.
Tyrod Taylor played well against the Buccaneers, going 26-of-36 for 197 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. He should be able to keep the Jets competitive if Fields misses another game.
Next up for the Jets is a Week 4 matchup against the Dolphins.
