Rams PFF grades: Best and worst performers in win vs. Seahawks

The Los Angeles Rams improved to 8-2 on Sunday afternoon with a 21-19 win over the Seattle Seahawks in an NFC West thriller. After jumping out to a 14-3 lead, the Rams hung on to beat Seattle with a strong defensive stand in the fourth quarter.

Though the offense has been rolling for much of the season, it was the defense that kept the Rams in this one by forcing four field goals and allowing just one touchdown. It's no surprise that Pro Football Focus gave out high marks for several Rams defenders in Week 11, led by Mr. Interception, Kamren Kinchens .

Here's a look at the notable grades on each side of the ball.

Top 5 offense

• LG Steve Avila : 80.1

• WR Puka Nacua : 75.2

• LT Alaric Jackson : 73.0

• QB Matthew Stafford : 71.1

• RB Kyren Williams : 69.3

Avila has been a big boost to the offensive line since returning from injury, putting together another strong performance with zero pressures and a team-best 77.8 run-blocking grade.

Nacua caught seven passes for 75 yards and a touchdown, four of them being contested catches.

Jackson allowed a team-high four pressures but had a 76.6 run-blocking grade.

Stafford didn't make any big-time throws but also had zero turnover-worthy plays and had two passes dropped.

Williams forced four missed tackles and rushed for a healthy 7.6 yards per carry in the win.

Top 5 defense

• S Kamren Kinchens: 93.5

• LB Nate Landman : 89.9

• LB Omar Speights : 81.2

• CB Cobie Durant : 78.7

• DT Larrell Murchison : 78.4

Kinchens was a playmaker on the back end, picking off two passes – his second game with two interceptions against the Seahawks .

Landman forced a fumble and recorded seven tackles, only missing one tackle in the game.

Speights tied with Landman for second on the team with seven tackles, missing zero tackles and allowing just two catches.

Durant was excellent in coverage, allowing only two catches for 9 yards on eight targets with one interception.

Murchison played sparingly but made three tackles.

Bottom 5 offense

• TE Tyler Higbee : 54.1

• WR Jordan Whittington : 53.7

• TE Davis Allen : 50.1

• WR Davante Adams : 47.1

• RT Rob Havenstein : 42.6

Higbee caught just one pass, a screen that went for 23 yards.

Whittington also caught only one pass, a 9-yarder late in the game. He had a 55.0 run-blocking grade.

Allen was held catchless and didn't see a single target thrown his way.

Adams struggled in this one, only catching a single pass, which was a 1-yard touchdown. He had two drops and was targeted eight times.

Havenstein finished with a team-low 19.9 pass-blocking grade, allowing three pressures and committing one false start penalty.

Bottom 5 defense

• DB Quentin Lake : 56.5

• OLB Josaiah Stewart : 54.2

• DB Josh Wallace : 53.9

• CB Darious Williams : 53.8

• DT Ty Hamilton : 39.4

Lake missed one tackle and allowed one catch for 13 yards before exiting with an elbow injury.

Stewart didn't have any pressures and finished with just one tackle.

Wallace helped replace Lake, playing 27 snaps and allowing two catches on two targets for 16 yards.

Williams picked off one pass but allowed five catches on six targets for 59 yards.

Hamilton had zero pressures or tackles in Sunday's win.

Other notables

• DT Kobie Turner : 74.7

• NT Poona Ford : 70.6

• DE Braden Fiske : 68.8

• OLB Jared Verse : 62.5

• CB Emmanuel Forbes Jr.: 60.4

Turner, Ford and Fiske all had strong showings against the Seahawks, helping slow down Seattle's run game with grades between 69 and 76.1 in that department. Turner had three pressures, Ford had one and Fiske recorded two.

Verse had a team-high seven pressures but only one was a QB hit and he was held without a sack, as was everyone on the Rams.

Forbes gave up five catches for 54 yards on eight targets, with one crucial deflection in the end zone.
