- Report: Broncos LB Dre Greenlaw sidelined with quad injury
Just a little more than one month after he signed a three-year, $31.5 million contract with the Denver Broncos during NFL free agency, linebacker Dre Greenlaw has suffered a "serious quad injury," according to a report from Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area .
Chan reported that "Greenlaw suffered a torn quadriceps while working out, sources said. The injury could force him to miss a substantial portion of the upcoming 2025 NFL season."

Fortunately, it might not actually be as serious as the NBC Sports Bay Area report indicated.
Parker Gabriel of the Denver Post tweeted Sunday evening that Greenlaw suffered a strain and should only be sidelined for "a matter of weeks rather than months." It's still not ideal, but Greenlaw is not expected to have his recovery last into the regular season, according to Gabriel.
Broncos inside linebacker Alex Singleton is coming back from a torn ACL, so Denver's top inside linebackers this spring could end up being Drew Sanders and Justin Strnad . Levelle Bailey should get more reps as well.
The Broncos did not pick any linebackers in this year's NFL draft, but they have reached agreements with two undrafted free agent linebackers over the last 48 hours.
