Contracts for many members of the Alabama football coaching staff have been released and officially approved.
The University of Alabama Board of Trustees compensation committee approved a handful of new Crimson Tide football coaching contracts ahead of the 2025 season, including new hires offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb and defensive backs coach Jason Jones , and Chuck Morrell , who was promoted to linebackers coach.
Members of the 2024 staff are also listed on the agenda: Bryan Ellis (tight ends), Robert Gillespie (assistant head coach/running backs), Chris Kapilovic (offensive line), Maurice Linguist (co-defensive coordinator/defensive backs), Jay Nunez (special teams coordinator), Christian Robinson (outside linebackers), Freddie Roach (associate head coach/defensive line) and JaMarcus Shephard (assistant head coach/co-offensive coordinator/wide receivers).
Jeff Allen (senior associate athletic director for health and performance), David Ballou (football strength and conditioning), Bob Welton (football director of player personnel) and Courtney Morgan (football general manager) are also set for contract updates.
Alabama defensive coordinator Kane Wommack and co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Nick Sheridan were not listed. Wommack made $1.55 million in 2024, while Sheridan made $1.35 million.
Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer made $10 million in 2024 with a maximum bonus of $1,175,000.
Alabama volleyball head coach Rashinda Reed and Alabama basketball assistant coach Preston Murphy are also set to have contract updates.
