The San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers are in a tight divisional race. Both teams are fighting for the top spot in the National League West. The Giants and Dodgers are fiery rivals , and San Francisco 's "Muni" public transportation system is joining in. The city showed support for Rafael Devers and Co. by throwing shade at Shohei Ohtani and his teammates.

The public transportation system rolled out new ads in their busses reminding passengers to pay their fares. Instead of using a different noun to describe people who try to avoid it, "Muni" went a new direction. The ad reads "Don't be a Dodger. Pay your fare." The city appears to be all-in on backing the Giants as they continue their rivalry with the Dodgers on the diamond.
While San Francisco and its fans are passionate about their team, it has some work to do. Heading into Tuesday's action, the Giants are ten games behind Los Angeles in the NL West. San Francisco is 5.5 games out of the final NL Wild Card spot. If Devers is going to lead his team to the postseason, he needs to step up. Despite the long odds, the Giants have time to overcome them.
Luckily for San Francisco, it has two series left against the Dodgers. However, the last time the Giants hosted Shohei Ohtani, he sent fans swimming for his home runs . San Francisco and Los Angeles have played each other six times this season, with the Dodgers holding a 4-2 lead. Despite their struggles, the Giants have seven more matchups to claim the season series.
San Francisco made a big move before the trade deadline to bring in Devers . The move was the first of many that have the Giants positioned to make a run at playoff spot. Despite a bumpy season, the city is behind them as they try to track the Dodgers down. If nothing else, the "Muni" system has found a great way to remind passengers to pay their fair on busses.
