Good news for the Pittsburgh Steelers faithful — the regular season opener has finally arrived! With most of the NFL set to kick off the 2025 season on Sunday, there's an abundance of young talent to watch, but the veterans still command the spotlight.
From Aaron Rodgers finding a new home in the Steel City to Geno Smith set to make his Las Vegas Raiders debut, here are the five oldest starting quarterbacks for the 2025 season.

-
Aaron Rodgers (41) — Pittsburgh Steelers
-
Joe Flacco (40) — Cleveland Browns
-
Matthew Stafford (37) — Los Angeles Rams
-
Russell Wilson (36) — New York Giants
-
Geno Smith (34) — Las Vegas Raiders
Hilariously enough, the Steelers would've still made the list if Wilson had returned and Rodgers signed elsewhere — another example of Pittsburgh's preference for acquiring veterans over developing young talent.
One could argue that out of these five elder statesmen, Rodgers has the easiest path to a Week 1 victory — a revenge game against his former New York Jets and their new HC Aaron Glenn.
