Texas Tech football future non-conference schedules
Notes: Home games in ALL CAPS. Dollar amounts in parentheses are game guarantees that home-team athletic departments contractually agree to pay the visiting-team athletics department.
Texas Tech's 2029 game against Missouri State, previously planned for 2028, was rescheduled, and the game guarantee increased from $525,000 to $800,000, according to an amended FBSchedules.com obtained from Missouri State via an open-records request. Texas Tech and Fresno State originally were scheduled for a three-game series, but Tech canceled the first of the three, a 2029 game, and agreed to pay a $1 million buyout, FBSchedules.com reported in February.
All other game dates, opponents, and game guarantees were obtained by Avalanche-Journal open-records requests or from Texas Tech athletics officials.
The first game of a Texas Tech-Arkansas two-game series, originally scheduled for 2030 in Lubbock, has been moved to 2034 in Lubbock.
Texas Tech and Arizona still have a non-conference game scheduled in 2034 that was agreed upon before Arizona joined the Big 12. The game was postponed in 2020 because of the Covid pandemic.
