Texas Tech football adds to 2027 recruiting class with commitment from DL K'Adrian Redmond

The 2026 recruiting class won't be signed for a few months, but the Texas Tech football team is already way ahead of its 2027 recruiting class goals.

The Red Raiders added another touted 2027 recruit to the list Thursday with the commitment of DeSoto defensive lineman K'Adrian Redmond. A 6-foot-3, 305-pounder, Redmond is rated a four-star prospect and 102nd overall recruit for the 2027 class at 247Sports.

Redmond held offers from the likes of Texas, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, and plenty more before choosing the Red Raiders. During his sophomore season in 2024, Redmond accumulated 32 tackles, five being for a loss of yardage, and a sack in 10 games.

Redmond becomes the third overall recruit to commit to Tech in the 2027 class. He joins LaDamion Guyton and Cooper Hackett to pledge in advance. Guyton is rated No. 4 and Hackett No. 9 in the nation at 247Sports.
