Bill Belichick and the North Carolina Tar Heels have added two key pieces to their 2026 recruiting class, landing siblings on Thursday afternoon.
Zavion Griffin-Haynes and his brother, Jayden, committed to the Tar Heels on Thursday as a package deal for the program. Zavion is a four-star edge rusher who committed to North Carolina last year but decommitted after the university parted ways with Mack Brown.
He's back now as the two are the third and fourth players to join the 2026 class and both do so as in-state recruits, which is another factor.
Zavion is a four-star recruit that is ranked No. 256 nationally, the No. 24 edge rusher and No. 13 player in the state of North Carolina per the 247Sports composite . Jayden is ranked No. 724 nationally, the No. 111 wide receiver and No. 32 player in the state of North Carolina.
For the Tar Heels, they are off to a hot start in the 2026 class and have a top 20 class right now. They hope to keep the momentum going and build up the class even more.
