Bill Belichick and the North Carolina Tar Heels continue to make moves to improve the 2025 football roster as the spring transfer portal window comes to a close.
Last week, UNC was able to land a transfer quarterback in Gio Gonzalez. And now, they are adding another key piece to the offense. On Monday, UNC landed a commitment from former Michigan running back Benjamin Hall per On3 .
The 5-foot-11, 235-pound running back has three years of eligibility left after redshirting in 2023 for the Wolverines. He was set to play under new staff member Chip Lindsey who was North Carolina's offensive coordinator in 2024.
In two seasons with Michigan , Hall finished with 141 yards on 44 carries. He also had four receptions for 12 yards in his career.
He comes to UNC with a chance to have a prominent role in the running back room. UNC's depth isn't as strong as previous years at the position so Hall will have every chance to earn his carries and hopefully provide some much-needed production for the offense.
