North Carolina 's success in the transfer portal continued on Monday night and they landed a player from the ACC.
Former Florida State linebacker Timir Hickman-Collins pledged his commitment to the Tar Heels and head coach Bill Belichick following a visit to Chapel Hill last week. He has four years of eligibility left after he redshirted for Florida State in his only season there so he has yet to see the field.
Hickman-Collins is a former three-star linebacker out of South Carolina who entered the portal in late April. He took a visit to UNLV as well before deciding on the Tar Heels as his next destination.
With North Carolina lacking depth at linebacker, the hope is that Hickman-Collins can provide some of that, along with other pickups in the transfer portal. He's the third linebacker that has committed to UNC out of the portal joining Jonathan Agumadu from Oklahoma State and Mikai Gbayor out of Missouri . UNC has landed 15 total transfers this Spring, including another tight end on Monday.
